September 2nd: LABOR DAY - SCA NO SCHOOL.
September 6th: Grandparents Day
Grandparents, join us Friday morning with your grandkids in our Solarium for breakfast from 8:00am – 9:00am followed by our Grandparents Day chapel services at 9:30am in our Temple of Praise Sanctuary. Invitations have been sent out with our students. Please call school office to RSVP, 210-674-8000. TOP Daycare will be also celebrating with their grandparents’ breakfast 8:00am – 9:00am and will then join us at 9:30am chapel service.
September 9th: Elementary V.I.P. Open House 6:00pm – 7:30pm for grades 1st – 5th
The teachers are looking forward to having all parents in attendance. Please make arrangements for your children as there will be no child care available. Don’t let the tardy bell catch you; arrive early!
September 11th: Patriotic Day
Show your patriotism by accenting your uniform with America’s symbols (ex, the Flag, Statue of Liberty, or messages of God Bless America) or students may wear a T-shirt honoring America with a patriotic theme. Do not wear solid red, white, or blue T-shirts, instead, decorate them! Patriotic T-shirts must be worn with uniform skirt or khaki pants. General Dress Code applies.
September 11th: Patriotic Day Chapel
We invite all our Sunnybrook family members who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces, Police or Fire Department to join us as we pay special tribute for their service in our TOP Sanctuary at 10:00am. Lunch will be available to our special guests afterwards with the respective students’ class lunch. Please call the office to RSVP, 210-674-8000 so we may prepare the lunch count.
September 16th: Secondary V.I.P Open House 6:15pm – 7:30pm for grades 6th– 12th
The faculty is looking forward to seeing the classrooms filled with V.I.P.’s. Please make arrangements for children as there will be no child care available. Don’t let the tardy bell catch you; arrive early!
September 25th: See you at the Pole @ 7:45 am for prayer. (Global Week of Student Prayer)
For the last 25 years, SEE YOU AT THE POLE has been about one simple act – PRAYER. It is still about students uniting in prayer before God interceding for their generation. SCA students & staff will be gathering at the flagpole praying for their school, friends, families, churches, communities and government. SEE YOU AT THE POLE is a day committed to unity in Christ and prayer for the generations.
Ephesians 3:14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a]in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
