Success from the Heart

All SCA athletics operate under the Texas Christian Athletic League (TCAL) which is the governing body for all sports guidelines, tournament rules and regulations, codes of conduct and sportsmanship. SCA competes with a number of Christian Schools in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and is known as a formable opponent every time the game begins.

We are considered “The School to Beat,” due to our successive track record of State and Conference championships in all sports. We are proud of our ability to produce well disciplined, physically fit athletes that are trained to compete at the next level of competitive play if they so desire. Here’s a few short statements we hold true regarding our philosophy and coaching style as Christian Coaches and Leaders.

Coaching Philosophy

• Athletics is a ministry.
• Athletic ability does not over shadow, attitude, attendance and obedience.
• Every player that works hard, is on time and has a good attitude will play.
• We are students first and foremost; athletics is a priviledge and will not overshadow our academic responsibilities.
• We are committed to training our athletes to be in the best physical condition possible in season and encourage physical health and wellness off season.
• We are to play to win and leave the rest up to the Lord.
• We are to maintain a Christ-like attitude in every situation that presents itself.
• We are ambassadors for Christ first.
• We are examples to the younger athletes watching our actions and reactions to the coaches and umpires.
• Success is determined by how Godly fruit you produce.
